Study and Technical Support Center for Local Development Initiatives (CEATILD) is a Congolese nonprofit organization that provides training to poor, small-scale farmers in sustainable agricultural practices including poultry production, aquaculture, beekeeping, cricket farming and silkworm production. FFO and CEATILD are building a research and training center at the University of Kinshasa where CEATILD is based, providing agricultural training opportunities for FFO and CEATILD beneficiaries.

FFO and AFAC are working together to provide training in insect farming techniques, basic business principles, food handling and safety and food preparation to vulnerable women and youth in Kinshasa.
National Institute for Biomedical Research (INRB) is the national biomedical research laboratory for the Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The INRB is a multidisciplinary institute that collectively has hundreds of years of experience in both identifying, treating and preventing disease in the DRC and around the world.
The research institute is composed of six laboratories dedicated to Virology, Parasitology, Bacteriology, Clinical Biology, Pathology, and Entomology where the Farms for Orphans research farm and headquarters are located.
University of Kinshasa, commonly known as UNIKIN, located about 16 miles south of central Kinshasa, is one of the three major universities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. UNIKIN had an enrollment of 29,554 and a faculty and research staff of 1,929 in the 2018-2019 academic year, and currently has twelve academic divisions: Arts and Humanities, Law, Economics and Management, Social Sciences Policy and Administrative, Engineering, Science (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology), Agricultural Sciences, Psychology and Educational Sciences, Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, and Petrochemistry and Renewable Energies.
FFO and CEATILD were given university land to build a research and training center, benefiting UNIKIN students as well as FFO/CEATILD beneficiaries.
